We are a 'next generation' WI in Calne, Wiltshire formed in January 2013

2025
SEP 4th 2024 - Winners of the Wiltshire WI Skittles league!
All ages are very welcome!
Many activities are planned throughout the year. Amongst others we have a dining group, book club, arrange days out to shows, as well as our monthly meeting with a different topic each time.
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7.15pm, venues can vary but the majority of our meetings will be held at The Masonic Hall, Stanier Road in Calne
Annual membership costs £51 (2025 cost April - March) - Membership runs from April to the end of March, however the rate is pro rata so if you a first time WI joiner the amount you pay will be reduced the later in the year you join.
Visitors are always very welcome to come to our meetings for a small fee (currently £4.50), we do ask however that after 2 visits that membership is purchased. This then allows you to participate in all our activities.
More information can be found in the relevant sections of the website - have a browse and come and see what we're all about!

The Women's Institute (WI) was formed in 1915 to revitalise rural communities and encourage women to become more involved in producing food during the First World War. Since then the organisation's aims have broadened and the WI is now the largest voluntary women's organisation in the UK. The WI celebrated its centenary in 2015 and currently has over 210,000 members in around 6,600 WIs.
The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
